SARTG-WW-RTTY Contest 2006, Comments

W6RLL: Always an enjoyable contest. I wish that I would have had more time to operate. Thanks for all the contacts.

CU2JT: I AM REALLY TIRED OF TRYING TO CHASE RTTY INTRUDERS OF THE CW PART OF 40M. IN THIS CONTESTS SOME RTTY STATIONS COULD BE FOUND AS LOW AS 7029 KHZ. I CERTAINLY WOULD WISH THAT THE ORGANIZERS OF RTTY CONTESTS COULD STRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF STAYING WITHIN THE ASSIGNED BAND RECOMMENDATIONS. EVEN BETTER: VIOLATING THE ASSIGNED BAND RECOMMENDATIONS WOULD RENDER A DISQUALIFICATION.

G6CSY: ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO GIVE A FEW PIINTS AWAY.

W0TY: Bands were not good..

WA6NOL: The band were not too hot but I had fum.

GW4MVA: Thanks for the contest, not many Scandinavian stations heard/worked.

NP3D/W2: HIGH ACTIVITY THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL FOR THE CONTEST!

US5EEK: Home made radio 150 watts output. Simple antennas: dipole and single Quad 14-28.

DF7JC: NICE CONTEST. LEAVES ALSO WEEKEND-TIME FOR FAMILY. MEET YOU NEXT YEAR AGAIN.

GM4FDM: Did not spend too muvh time in Contest as I had family committments. On Sunday the K Index was 6. Enough said. Very poor conditions with little DX. very few contacts on 10 and 15m. The 10m opening was short lived.

FM5JC: Nice Europe opening on 10m saterday but no many fighter.

N0TCP: Thanks for the contest! I stumbled on it by accident, and had lot's of fun. This was my first contest!

W3OFD: Only had time for a few contest hours but it was fun.

G4DBX: This is my very first SARTG contest, very enjoyable.

AE4EC: COULD NO WORK ANY EUROPEANS AS THEY DID HEAR MY SIG AND WORK AT HOME LIMITED MY OP TIME.

K9HCK: Good contest, not great condx, but lot of activity.

W4GAC: Increased 2005 score over 20 percent. Last 8 hour period only worked 2 EU stations. Everything else N S. No EU on 80 meters. 40 meters was in good shape. Hope to do better in 2007.

K4GMH: Thanks to the SARTG for sponsoring the Contest and for all the effort in scoring and other administrative aspects. Thanks also to all who were kind enough to work me and put up with all the requests for repeats. Unfortunately, the propagation and atmospherics all contributed to making conditions rough. This weekend had to be the bottom of the bottom of the Sun Spot Cycle. Doubt if conditions for a full weekend could be worse.Comparing my last year's score to this year and the QSO count was down by over 100 QSOs. About 3k less points this time and 46 less mults. These are comparison of the raw scores. Anticipate a wider swing between this year's raw score and final due to lousy conditions. Still a fun Contest with the stagered operating times.

8P2K: Everything was going great until the third session... then someone switched off the propagation.

W7MRC: I didn't have much time to devote to the contest as I had a number of home jobs to do. Fixing my utility trailer, wiring my garage for 2 20amp circuits and painting. But I was able to get in a couple of hours at least. Hope to be back again next year. I like the timetable of multiple periods. Makes it easier to juggle home projects and ham radio. Thanks to the SARTG for sponsoring this contest. 73 to all.

AD6WL: Part time effort. Bad band conditions.

I1-12387: Propagation not very good with few W and few JA. But with the pleasure to hrd one W on 10m Saturday evening. Anyway my best score in the last three years.

OH2BP: SARTG - one of my Favorite year after year, thanks again.

ZC4LI: Thanks to all concerned in running the contest.

IN3BFW: Nice contest best regards in3bfw roby

IK2RZP: Only a few hours. Maybe next year will be better. Ciao.

9M6XRO: Rig: Yaesu FT-1000MP & Quadra Linear running 400 watts output Ant: 2el Cubical Quad and Butternut HF2V Vertical both up approx 27m Band condx were really flat, even difficult to work into Europe. I tried many CQs on 20m beaming Europe on "clear" freqs but I think the Europeans were probably working one another in short skip condx on those freqs. I could not hear them at all and never got a run going. Sunspots are reversing now so it WILL be easier next year!

N2FF: Conditions were very poor and I was able to operate in only one of the three time segments.

PA0FAW: Bad condx-after rda-contest and lighthouse some time for this contest to give some points.

YM125ATA: For 125th birthday of Mustafa Kemal ATATURK

YB5AQB: Very bad band conditions from YB5, low temporary antennas, and the solar storm in the third session didn't make it any better.

G4EMT: THANKS FOR THE NICE CONTEST PLENTY OF DX AND GOOD CONDITIONS.

EI3GC: I make it 1865 points by 61 Multies Tnx for your time and effort. Liam

SV4/OH1YM/P GrandDaddy's first RTTY Contest! Interesting activity after some time on PSK. Thank you for the fun. 73 de Kimmo/OH1YM.

VE3GSI: This year I was recovering from an illness so was unable to play very long at anyone time. Also during the contest the computer hardware clock failed and the time of some of the Q's in my log were shifted. I was able to correct these times before sending in my log. This contest is one of my favorites because of the three time periods. A very big thanks to everyone.

IK4GNI: Thanks for a nice contest! I will be back next year.

US0HZ: Thank you very much for a contest. It was a great pleasure to meet old friends.

G3LHJ: Good fun, Not a lot of time to spare - just on to help the Guys & Gals. not too much activity on 10 or 15M.

GU0SUP: Very poor conditions, with odd propagation, and some antenna problems here have much reduced my score over previous years. I do like the three-segment contest format though! Many thanks to all at SARTG for the fun contest.

G0MTN: Propagation quite bad this year....
DL1JB: Cu agn next year!

G4LWB: BAND CONDITIONS POOR THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY - RAIN STATIC OTHERWISE ENJOYABLE CONTEST.

JF2FIU: Thank you nice contest! I was able to manage it happily.

I2DMI: I enjoyed the 2006 SARTG after many years. Unfortunately I made few QSO on 28MHz because the wrong Propagation skip to Central Europe. Some problem with software with the "/LH" stations (decoded as LA or LU).

WA7SLD: Thanks for sponsoring this fine contest! I will be back next year.
